The usual questions
And the answers we'd give you on the phone anyway.
It depends on the boiler, the house and how much pipework has to change — anyone quoting a figure before seeing the job is guessing. We survey for free, then give you a fixed written price that includes the flue, the filter, the controls and making good. No day rates, no surprises on the invoice.
Yes — LPG is on the card, which is less common than you'd think. Bottled, bulk tank and park home work: installs, annual servicing, breakdowns and safety certificates. If you're off the gas main and struggling to get anyone out, that's exactly the sort of call we want.
A straight combi swap is usually a day. Moving the boiler to a different wall, converting from a system boiler, or replacing pipework typically runs to two or three. A full bathroom is normally a week. We'll tell you which yours is at the survey, and you'll have hot water again the same evening wherever it's physically possible.
No — just for the start and the handover at the end. Plenty of customers leave a key with a neighbour. We'll walk you through the controls and the paperwork before we leave, whenever that happens to be.
Dust sheets down, boots off, old appliances and packaging taken away with us. The rule is that the space is cleaner when we leave than when we arrived — it's in the photographs on this site because we're happy to be judged on it.
Almost certainly, if it's under ten years old and has been serviced every year by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Send us a photo of the benchmark book and the badge on the boiler and we'll tell you where you stand before you spend anything.
We work across the towns listed at the bottom of this page and roughly 50 miles around them. If you're near the edge of that, ask anyway — it's usually a yes.
